Wenn ich eine Steel-Wallet kaufe, wie bewahre ich sie am besten sicher auf?

      * Müsste ich 2 kaufen und sie aufteilen? Was ist, wenn ich alle 24 auf eine Stahlgeldbörse packe, dann bin ich aufgeschmissen, oder?
      * Ich wohne derzeit in einer Wohnung.
      * Wenn ich ein Haus bekomme, würde ich auf jeden Fall einen GROSSEN und STARKEN Safe kaufen.

set a passphrase (25th word) on your ledger and store that phrase / code elsewhere. put the other 24 words on steel in a safety deposit box (preferably 2 sets in 2 different locations) and separate them geographically. even with the 24 words, you cant restore the wallet unless you have the 25th word / passphrase (but make sure to use the accounts that the passphrase unlocks, and not the standard ones). you will be as safe as possible. never store the 24 + passphrase together

A safe is the first thing thiefs will try to open, so maybe not the best place to hide a seed.

      Maybe google steganography?

Be creative. Unless you want to bury it somewhere, the best hideout is the most obvious one.

My advice utilize passphrase store your seed phrase wherever you feel it’s safe I would go as far to suggest storing passphrase digitally so that it does not physically exist and to keep the seed phrase stored on paper at home and also in a security deposit box within a bank.

Passphrase is useless without that seed phrase

Use steel. Switch 2 of the words on your plates.

I keep the first half of my phrase in one location and the other half in a separate location. Both are in a steel wallet.

As a backup, I have the full phrase in a bank deposit box.

Really, just memorize that shit. That’s what I am currently doing. I thought long about safes but other comments are correct, guess what the thief will target first?

I also wouldn’t bury the seed phrase somewhere under ground. That’s at least as stupid as well. Many things can happen.

Keep it in your home and memorize it. In the case of an accident where your brain gets damaged and you forget some words, you won’t need the money anyway. If your brain is really that damaged.

I had some accidents but none really affected my ability to think or remember. And if it’s a more extreme accident I guess you won’t need your crypto anyway.

I use invisible ink on certain pages of unassuming books. I then jot down obscure encoded references (of my making) to the titles and numbers of the pages used so only I can Identify them. I read the seeds with a black light when necessary.
