Im Allgemeinen erfordern ungeöffnete Verpackungen eines Einzelhandelsartikels ein Firmware-Update. Ich bin nur besorgt, dass es zu Manipulationen gekommen sein könnte. Wie kann ich so sicher sein, dass es nicht manipuliert wurde? Direkt von Ledger gekauft und mit DHL von Frankreich in die Vereinigten Staaten versandt (und innerhalb von 2 Tagen angekommen!).

Why is everyone on this sub **so damn paranoid** that their device has been tampered with?!

…How many reports have you read about Ledger tampering occurring?

If you’re worried your device has been tampered, do an authenticity check. Easy as that. No need to add to the hundreds of identical posts asking exactly the same thing, all with exactly the same conclusion, all with no real reason to suspect tampering.

I had a nano x arrive with 2.0.1 , was surprised i didnt have to do any firmware update but it was genuine

Yep, devices ordered anytime recently will either have 2.0.0 or 2.0.1 installed on them depending on exactly when they were manufactured. Totally expected.

I get your skepticism about out of date firmware on new devices, but up until recently Ledger was totally sold out of Nano Xs, and just replenished the stock. So yeah, they haven’t been sitting on the shelves for ages or anything like that!

Just go through the setup process. One of the steps you need to connect the ledger to your pc and the ledger live software does a hardware check to see if it is tampered with

Mine came in yesterday. Came with latest the firmware, confirmed legit and no battery issue.
Could be the newest batch just off the press.
