Doing a firmware update should fix that.
But before starting the firmware update, make 100% sure that you have a backup of your 24-word recovery / seed phrase, in case the update goes bad and causes the device to reset. You would also need your bip39 passphrase in case you used one.
Also note that if your current ledger firmware version is older than 1.3.1, the firmware and MCU cannot be updated. In that case, contact ledger support to get a new Nano S free of charge.

Gast::Hello u/Far_Caterpillar7476,
Even without the photo, I would imagine that indeed your OS is outdated and that you’re stuck in the middle of the OS update – apologies for this inconvenience.
We have a small regression within the Ledger Live software, it’s being worked on at the moment.
I assume that right now, when you plug your Ledger Nano S on a USB port to boot it, it gets stuck on a screen displaying „Update“, and the rest of the bullet points below are to be followed if it’s the case:
1. Please delete the Ledger Live software from your computer,
2. Install the 2.58.0 Ledger Live software from [https://www.ledger.com/ledger-live/lld-signatures](https://www.ledger.com/ledger-live/lld-signatures) (this page is a Ledger official one, from where one can download older versions of this software),
3. You can then launch this 2.58.0 Ledger Live,
4. Plug your Ledger Nano S,
5. Navigate to the ‚My Ledger‘ tab on the Ledger Live’s left panel,
6. Wait there a few seconds – this Ledger Live software version should be able to restart 1. your Ledger Nano S OS update where it got left off.Once that’s done you can update your Ledger Live software back to the latest one, and perform the subsequent OS updates on your Ledger Nano S up to the point where you’re running the latest OS (2.1.0 version).
If during these subsequent OS updates you’re falling back onto the same issue, please follow the same steps and it should be OK.
Let me know if that helped!
