Ledger wiederherstellen, mit Seed aus der Coinbase Wallet App?

Hallo gerade abgeholt ein nano x. Ich habe auf Coinbase Wallet für eine Weile gehalten und ich frage mich, ob ich sicher „wiederherstellen“ meine Coinbase Wallet, auf meine neue nano x. Durch die Verwendung meiner 12-Wort-Phrase von CB Wallet. Und wenn ja, bin ich in der Lage, eine neue Phrase für sie zu generieren?

Danke, ich versuche nur, Transfergebühren für einen Haufen verschiedener Token zu vermeiden. (Alle erc20)

(All erc20)By trying to save transfer fees, and entering a hot seed in your ledger, you are completely defeating all the security advantage of using a ledger. The ledger is meant to generate a unique 24 word cold seed phrase that never touched the internet.

The correct and secure way is to generate a new seed with your ledger, and transferring all your coins and tokens to accounts derived from your ledger seed. Yes, you will pay transfer fees. This is the price of security.

Don’t take my word for it – but I think this would work. Obviously you compromise the “offline” integrity of this wallet as soon as you enter it on another app. In other words the ledger becomes pointless, and you should create a new seed. But if you have a plan to move the currency/manage it some other way, and you are happy with this loss of security, then I think it’s ok and will work.

Btw, have you used any of the web wallets like MetaMask? You can use your ledger to add your ledger wallet to a web wallet and manage it securely without giving up your seed – just search for “MetaMask and ledger” on Google for instructions if this sounds like it could work for you. If you go down this path, the most important golden message is NEVER enter your seed phrase anywhere ever, you are doing something wrong if you are doing so. Hope this helps

An alternative would be to convert them to something like Litecoin, transfer that across to your Ledger. Then connect Metamask with Ledger and use it to connect with a swap site (Uniswap, Pancakeswap, 1Inch etc) and convert them back from Ltc to whatever they were.

So you’re asking:

1. If you can load your CB wallet seed on the ledger and 2. If you change the seed of the wallet without needing to move your funds off the CB wallet seed?

The answer to the former is: yes.

The answer to the latter is: learn how the fuark crypto works.

Question, why wouldn’t you just individually send each coin to ledger live from CB? In my opinion that is Safest option.
