Kurze Frage zur Überprüfung von 24 Backup-Phrasen

Hallo zusammen,

Ich habe vor Jahren angefangen, Ledger zu benutzen, bin aber kein besonders fortgeschrittener Benutzer. Da es Jahre her ist, möchte ich bestätigen, dass meine 24-Wort-Seed-Phrase korrekt ist und alles richtig funktioniert. Ich möchte auch sicherstellen, dass meine Geldbörsen auftauchen, wenn ich von vorne anfangen müsste. Zum Vergleich: Ich habe 2 Nano S Geräte – eines wurde verwendet, um die ursprüngliche 24-Wort-Seed-Phrase zu erstellen, das andere ist noch ungeöffnet von vor Jahren.

Hier ist mein Plan, scheint dies korrekt?

1. Ich werde meine ursprüngliche 24-Wort-Keimformel auf dem neuen, ungeöffneten Ledger wiederherstellen
2. Ich erstelle einen neuen Benutzer/Account auf meinem Macbook und lade mit diesem neuen Account eine neue Version von Ledger Live herunter.
3. Schließen Sie das neue Ledger an, laden Sie das neue Ledger Live und stellen Sie sicher, dass mein Guthaben angezeigt wird.
4. Optional – bestätigen Sie, dass die Empfangsadresse der Wallet dieselbe ist? Ich habe gesehen, dass dies empfohlen wird, aber ich verstehe nicht, wie ich das machen soll. Ändert sich die Empfangsadresse nicht bei jeder Transaktion?

I’m no pro so not sure about number 4 either but the rest will work and is a good idea. You will have to install the apps you need on the new ledger and create accounts for them in the new ledger live as well. They won’t just pop up in the new ledger live until you do that. Having a backup ledger is important in my opinion. In case you don’t know, you can easily just test your seed phrase is written correct on your current ledger with an app on ledger live. Search in ledger live in the apps. I think it is called “recovery check”. You install it and run it on the device and it lets you enter your written seed and verify it is correct. Whenever I mention this people go ape crap it’s scammy sounding but it’s an app from ledger in ledger live! You can research it if people start commenting. It was one of the first things I did at setup.

or more simply, you could install the recovery check app on your ledger, and enter your seed phrase it this app, which will check that it is the same as the seed -phrase currently stored in the ledger:

fwiw, I just plugged in a nano s from 2 years back and the device would not load correctly. I restored from my 24 word and ledger live kept scanning the device as non-genuine and refused to register. After inputting the 24 seed in three different times, I gave up. I purchased direct from ledger and it worked fine before putting it into storage.

I ended up loading the phrase in a digital wallet to pull the coins and that will be the last time I use anything from Ledger. I couldn’t imagine trying to use their devices 5+ years in the future (if they’re still around) for something I was storing for safe keeping.

For your #4, your receive address won’t be the same for BTC. It changes in Ledger Live each time you do a receive.
