Ich habe vor kurzem eine Trezor 1 gekauft, sie aber noch nicht geöffnet, falls sie für mich nicht funktioniert. Ich dachte daran, sie nur mit einem alten Laptop zu verwenden, auf dem Windows 7 Professional läuft. Ist er zu alt oder wird er funktionieren? Ich habe auch Zugang zu anderen Computern, aber die werden auch von anderen Personen in der Familie benutzt. Was ist Ihr Rat?

Microsoft stopped supporting Windows 7 in 2020.

I don’t recommend anyone running an unsupported operating system. Either try upgrading to Windows 10 or install Linux on it (for some this is a fun learning opportunity).

The companion software requires at least Windows 10.

You can use other computers from members of the family if you don’t ‚remember‘ the Trezor. By default when you unplug it, it will not show any information about it.

I think you need windows 10 or higher and just factory reset an old laptop and use that solely for crypto nothing else not even browsing the web just Trezor and that’s it

I thought the whole idea for using these tools was for built in safety? Why take all these extra precautions if they aren’t necessary? Is it safe to use with public computers? Like at a library or something.
