Na, should be fine. My understanding is that the nano S doesn’t have the internal computational features for the backup to implement. Could be wrong, but that’s my understanding.

I’ve got a backup laying around myself.

Honestly since Ledger Recover launched, it’s probably your best option, as the original Nano S isn’t supported with it.

If you load it up with the latest firmware and Bitcoin app you should be good to go for a couple of years yet.

      They’re all safe.

If ur recovery phrase is safe ur funds are safe. Simple as that. Just make sure u keep the recovery phrase safe!

Yeah, it is safe. Updates are fine too. I just do not use their new controversial backup service (ledger recover) — which is an opt in subscription service at $10/mo. If you do not subscribe to it, it should not be a concern

For btc only use Seedsigner or other opensource & verifyable wallet. Don’t use hyped non secured products. Don’t trust, verify!

Hello, good morning, I have a nano s ledger and I have no way to access it.

I saved it a long time ago and unfortunately the computer where I had the key and the recovery phrase saved was encrypted and I lost everything. Is there any way to recover the money from the wallet?

Keep in mind that most of the people here have already accepted the risks of Ledger Recover; everyone else has left. The opinions here will be biased for Ledger.

Hey, you would need to unbox it, and set-it up with Ledger Live installed from [Ledger.com](https://Ledger.com)

Then the only way to know its genuine is if you are able to set-up PIN, generate 24 words recovery phrase from device screen, and establish a genuine check connection with Ledger Live! After that, you will be able to install the BTC app and add an account for it to be able to generate your Ledger BTC receiving address!
