Some users have reported issues with their Nano X batteries throwing errors messages indicating that the battery cannot be charged when, in many cases the batteries are fine, they just need a bit of a jumpstart to get everything working again (for example, in the case they may have been dormant for some time).
We have some helpful documentation [here](https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/4409233434641-How-to-troubleshoot-Ledger-Nano-X-battery-issues?support=true) with battery troubleshooting tips and step-by-step guidance on how to resolve this error (if it is indeed just an error and not an actual defective battery).
Ideally you’ll want to let your Nano X enter the screensaver mode (after about 5-10 minutes), and once it has done this, you’ll simply press and hold both buttons on the Ledger for about 4 seconds, enter the „*control center*“ mode, and then **power off** the device manually through the settings.
Once you’ve done this, it should resolve the issue, however it may take a few attempts before it starts to show on the Ledger device’s screen (in the corner where the battery symbol is). Then you’ll just let the battery have a nice extended charge (think around 8 hours) and it should get everything working smoothly again!
Remember, if for any reason the error does persist, you can always reach out to our official support page – [here](https://support.ledger.com/), and we’ll be happy to make sure that you and your device are all taken care of.
