Bitte helfen Sie mir!

If that missing account was created with MetaMask, maybe it is derived using the ETH legacy derivation path, rather that the Ledger Live derivation path. In that case you won’t see it with LL, but you can of course access it with MM (connected to your ledger).

Or maybe it uses the LL derivation path, but the previous account on the LL derivation path does not have any Tx history. In that case, too, you won’t be able to access it with LL, but you can of course access it with MM (connected to your ledger).

I’m having this same issue it appears to be related to a SEV1 KNOWN issues with MM and Ledger doing back to 2019! I’m absolutely gutted and willing go pay for anyone who can help me. I had to reboot my Ledger and update software and firmware since the. I haven’t been able to get MM to send tx signatures to Ledger with WebHID. I’ve tried everything and now my MM is just straight failing tx saying Ledger account 0xf31…31ec cannot to device.

This post has me scratching my head a little bit…it just doesn’t quite make sense to me. How did you „add account“ in Metamask, exactly? What this should look like with a Ledger is that you return to the „Connect Hardware Wallet“ flow, connect up to the device, and add some additional accounts by selecting some checkboxes. If you just clicked the „Create Account“ button in Metamask, this isn’t using your Ledger at all. It’s using Metamask’s seed phrase to make the next account, not your Ledger’s. Do you recall which way you made the account?

If Ledger Live’s opinion of your second account address doesn’t match Metamask’s opinion, then it’s likely true that you just made a new Metamask account. You’ll never find that account in Ledger live since it belongs to Metamask, and isn’t on your Ledger device.

As u/loupiote2 mentioned there are some complexities around derivation paths that might be coming into play, but that wouldn’t happen unless you used the same seed phrase in both your metamask and your Ledger device, which you definitely don’t want to have done. Happy to keep helping just need some stuff cleared up first.
