I think if you use a passphrase, 25th word, you will end up with the equivalent of what you want, although the seeds would be the same.

It seems that you’re trying to use the passphrase like a shamir backup, which is not very wise. I’d advise looking into that. Also, what’s the point of keeping it on two seeds? One seed is enough and then maybe just multiple passphrases.

Ya I’ve contemplated getting a bank vault for mine and other things. There’s risk to everything. Do I think the bank will withhold my vault if the government tells them to? Yes. Yes I do. Am I also worried about theft from my hiding location? Absolutely. I’ve opted to hide it very well. I do like your „dumby wallet“ idea though.

you have 2 points of failure, with your 2 safes. If one of two bank decides to deny the safe access, your family got screwed.

please keep it fucking simple by engraving the seed into a sus316/titanium plate, then store them behind/below your home safe, for the following reason:

* engraving into sus316/titanium means your seed phrase stay safe from natural disaster like fire, water, acid, …
* store them behind/below your safe keeps the seed stay safe from thief/robber, who pay focus on the things inside your safe, not the fucking back
* store them near your home safe keeps the seed stay safe from the coincident visible by someone
* store them near your home safe means you know exactly where you store it, and only you have the legal access to it.
