Yes, but you should first check that you regain access with your new device.
To do that with Ledger Live, click on the „Receive“ button on your account in LL, and check that the address can be verified on the ledger device.
Once this is done, you should reset your old ledger by entering a wrong PIN 3 times.
Once reset, it is safe to send back the faulty device to Ledger. If the faulty device does not even let you enter a PIN, the best option is to destroy the device and ship back the pieces. A large hammer can do the job.

You cryptos are on the blockchain, they are not in your ledger. A ledger device stores only one thing: your seed phrase, which is the key to access your accounts on the blockchain. In your case, they do not need to be moved anywhere else.
