It does not affect you, it has to be enabled physically by you. You need to jump through some pretty high hoops to even begin using it, not the least being uploading your Gov ID and having to actually PAY for the service if you want to use it.

Check your bank statement

We do know that the recover mechanism was introduced for Nano X in v2.2.1, because the release notes said so.

In Ledger Live, the foundation has been laid gradually and incrementally, over the last ~6mo. We know that because the code is open source.

We don’t know if any of the mechanism exists in Nano S Plus, v1.1.0.

If I had to guess, I’d say that it either doesn’t exist yet in v1.1.0, or it partially exists in an incomplete state. That’s based on the release notes not mentioning it, and the fact that the release was issued quite some time ago (February), earlier in the Recover development timeline.
