Thanks for asking the simple question! Somehow Ledger keeps failing to communicate the essential. They might have large issue with their company culture – tons of $ they made won’t last long and the orders will stop coming in.
Their response is clear as mud „Updating your Ledger OS does not change the security of your device“

I don’t care about recovery, danger is that ceo stated that they always had acess to our seed phrase, ledger stinks and I had one since 3 years, transferring btc to cold card but I have to unstake dot & atom, don’t know yet if I buy trezor or jade or other……., thank you ledger 😡

@ledger. Will you guys ever go fully open source? And if not. Please explain why. I’m really concerned about the security of the devices now. I have two of them and really considering buying a Trezor wallet now instead for the reason that they are fully open source. Thanks

Mine still shows 1.1 and new firmware doesn’t flash up in the banner
