      Also wollte ich ETH für BTC auf meinem Ledgers eingebauten Swap-Mechanismus tauschen, bis ich erkannte, dass sie mir etwas mehr als $2k für den Tausch von 32 ETH gegen BTC berechnen werden. Ich habe ein kracken-Konto (das ich seit einem Jahr nicht mehr benutzt habe), das immer noch aktiv ist und auf das ich meine ETH verschieben könnte, wenn es mehr Sinn machen würde, über den offenen Markt zu tauschen… irgendwelche Gedanken dazu? Würde ich auf diese Weise Geld sparen oder werden sie immer noch dasselbe verlangen?

      *edit* Nur für alle, die in Zukunft darauf stoßen, die beste (zumindest für mich sicherste) Methode war für mich, die ETH von meiner kalten Wallet direkt zu Kraken zu transferieren (zuerst eine Test-Txt senden!) und dann auf dem offenen Markt zu konvertieren (kostete mich insgesamt etwa $300-$500) und dann zurück zu meiner Wallet zu senden (wieder zuerst eine Test-Txn!)

      Send that Eth to kraken pro. I literally paid like $33 in fees to swap almost 12,000usdc to eth.

      Bro for me binance swap charges 0$

      I made the same swap mistake and damn I lost like 500$.

      Also don’t trust the in built swap for such a big amount, they will defined lock your funds and ask you to do nonsense KYC and trouble you by saying that is not right this is not right

      The network gas fees are just how you see it. Some exchanges do subsidize, but good luck finding any without any hoops to jump through.

      If you use an exchange it’s obviously a lot cheaper but be careful about taxes in your country, in canada trading crypto for other crypto is taxed and the exchange you use might report it. In some other countries it’s not taxed though so it depends on where you are. The advantage of decentralized swapping is that it’s anonymous

      Yup, just looked. $22. I must have been too high to notice lol. Damn that erks me as I could have used CB advanced trading and done ot for mere dollars. Lesson learned.

      let’s say i have 1 btc, i do trading with altcoins and this now becomes 1.1 btc (i made 10% profit), now i have to pay taxes on the 0.1 btc i made. Now if i want to convert this to fiat, i pay taxes off it again. It isn’t like this in some countries but it is like this in canada

      Could try Thorswap if your taxes will be straightforward, and if the fees make enough sense for you to use.

      Instead of any cex try a dex or dex aggregator.
      I know that zcx.com ala Unizen has BTC ETH swaps (Rune integration)
      No KYC, DeFi at its best

      Connect it to Metamask and swap from eth to wbtc on cow swap or uniswap

      32 Eth.. good lord. I would have kept the eth. Maybe traded for a single whole coin and then kept the rest in ETH.

      Either way you will be sitting pretty in 2025.

      I did a search on this site([Bitmaze](https://www.bitmaze.live)) and found that using okx is the cheapest now.
