Vielen Dank!

Laptops should have windows installed on a hidden partition allowing you to reinstall the operating system from new which is safe as it can be so make sure you can do that otherwise you take your chances.

Do yourself a favor, and also reset the uefi🤔 along with replacing the drive.

Never buy second hand laptops unless it comes with no hard drive. You never know what was on there. Things can be recovered after delete.

      > If the laptop has some virus/malware on it there’s nothing they can do unless I enter my seed or try the copy and paste address switch?

Well… there is nothing they could do that you wouldn’t have to approve. But noobs approve bad transactions ALL the time. The easiest exploit would be an clipboard virus that changes all crypto addresses off your clipboard into an attackers address. SURE… if you have top-notch OPSEC you’d catch that, but lots would not. There are about a half dozen other attacks that deal with trying to „sneek“ something past the operator hoping they don’t notice.

Tecnically yes: but just reformat the laptop and reinstall the OS to reduce the risk of headaches in the future.

Hi – Using a second-hand laptop to access Ledger Live and manage your funds can be a reasonable approach, but it’s important to take precautions to protect your funds. Here are a few things you can do to minimize the risk:

      – Ensure the laptop is clean: Before using the laptop, you should perform a thorough scan using reliable antivirus software to detect and remove any potential viruses or malware. Update the antivirus software to the latest version and run a full system scan.

      – Use a secure internet connection: When using Ledger Live or any other crypto-related service, it’s essential to connect to the internet through a secure and trusted network. Avoid using public Wi-Fi networks, as they may pose security risks.

      – Install software from trusted sources: Only download and install Ledger Live from the official Ledger website (https://www.ledger.com/ledger-live/download). Avoid downloading it from unknown sources, as they may tamper with the software and compromise your funds.

      – Keep your device firmware up to date: Regularly update the firmware on your Ledger Nano X to ensure you have the latest security patches and enhancements. You can update the firmware through Ledger Live.

Remember, it’s important to be vigilant and take precautions when dealing with crypto and personal devices. Following these steps will help minimize the risk of unauthorized access to your funds. Here are some tips that can be helpful to you.
