      Hallo, ich frage mich, ob ich Trezor über Ledger für ETH-Speicherzwecke bekommen sollte. Auch welche Addons sollte ich bekommen? Ist das Back-up-Pack notwendig oder hilfreich wirklich?

      Ich werde eine große Summe von Krypto haben, die ich dort für ein paar Monate bleiben möchte. Meine schlimmste Befürchtung ist, dass etwas mit der Hardware-Wallet schief geht. Gibt es irgendeine Möglichkeit dafür und irgendwelche Lösungen oder Ausfallsicherheiten? Kann ich sie auch in die Metamaske integrieren oder mit ihr verbinden und sie dabei sicher aufbewahren?

      The hardware wallet will generate a seed phrase. Do whatever you need to do to ensure that you never lose the seed phrase and that nobody else ever learns what it is. The seed phrase **is your funds/wallet**. The hardware wallet is just a device to sign transactions using that seed phrase without having to ever store the seed phrase on your computer. It can break, and you won’t have lost anything if you still know the seed phrase.

      Using metamask’s „Connect hardware wallet“, it never has access to your seed phrase. It can, however, ask your hardware wallet to sign transactions. It is up to you to only sign transactions you intend to make.

      Ledger is not open source. That alone should make you not use them.

      Wallets don’t hold crypto. They hold keys. You can restore your keys with your mnemonic seed phrase.

      Ledger has big time issues with battery life right now. That single handedly should Perseude you, it’s all over their subreddit

      I use both. And I’m happy with both of them. You won’t go wrong provided you make sure you follow all the basic good habits.
