you can mitigate all of this by using passphrase if you that paranoid with physical security.

It’s not clear what’s new about it, if anything.

At best, this reads like a weak marketing play trying to piggy-back on the Ledger Recover debacle.

New to Trezor but Let’s look at the trade off For someone to get my Trezor physically they would need to find out where I hide it, get past my dogs, get past me if I was around. With my Ledger it would appear that they may already have my keys or at least the possibility exists. I know about the physical threat to Trezor, never knew what Ledger was doing until they announced it.

Ledger Devs had to do something to keep people from jumping ship 😂

It says: „RDP downgrade attacks require physical theft of a device“

It only requires physical access, not theft. You could be vulnerable if you just lose your Trezor (no theft involved).
