      Apple hat soeben iOS 16.3 veröffentlicht, mit Unterstützung für FIDO Security Keys mit der Option, einen Sicherheitsschlüssel eines Drittanbieters zur Authentifizierung hinzuzufügen, wenn man sich bei einem neuen Gerät anmeldet oder anderweitig auf eine Apple ID zugreift.

      Hey Ledger, wann wird die Nano X Fido App über Bluetooth mit iP funktionieren? Wir wollen unsere Geldbörsen nicht nur zur Sicherung unserer Münzen, sondern auch unserer Daten im Internet verwenden.

      FIDO is good for security absolutely, but please just get a dedicated key or two for this. U2F/FIDO keys should be carried on a keychain basically or in your wallet/pocket for everyday logins whether on your phone or laptop.

      I really don’t think bringing your Ledger everywhere as a U2F/FIDO key makes sense. It attracts unnecessary attention and puts your device at risk for theft or simple damage. There was a deal this summer for instance where Cloudflare users could buy Yubikeys for $10ish or so. Besides that there have been BOGO offers in the past like on May 4th for Star Wars Day last year.

      The FIDO 2 application is being tested but only USB support is planned for the time being

      You can already use the u2f app, FIDO2 is backwards compatible with U2F.

      There needs to be more wide spread support for Fido keys I wanted to use them on coinbase and binance but the mobile applications don’t support them which is nonsense yet they preach security
