As much as people dont want to hear it, you are best off having an account on a reputable CEX (Coinbase or Binance), buying there, and then moving to your Ledger. The small difference in fees/costs is worth knowing what you are getting. Talk to the folks that bought/swapped within Ledger only to find it was backed by FTX and they lost money.

Buy/sell on the major exchanges. Store on the Ledger.

Just my two cents from someone who has never had to deal with any issues.

I just use Kraken and send it as soon as I buy it, I’m sure there are lower fees somewhere, but it works well for me.

Use a CEX

On Binance, you get 1000 Usdt for $1000. On Moonpay you spend $1000 to get 971 Usdt.

It’s true, it might cost something to deposit the $1000 initially, but you can check on that. Then swapping on Ledger Live costs a fortune and there is a danger you may not get your funds. Check the threads on here about using Changelly inside Ledger Live. Better to just buy what you want on Binance with the Usdt and then transfer all your funds to your Ledger wallets.

Buying by ledger is very expensive unfortunately, make sure it is 1.8%, I heard it’s more than that.

If you go to the apps section there’s a way to connect your ledger to a binance account so you can buy through binance directly into your ledger wallet. That’s the easiest way Ive found.
