You start by creating an account on the mini and synch it to the app. You don’t need the mini to receive, only to send.

Once your account is created and you synch with your app, I found it worthwhile to spend transfer fees by sending back and forth small amounts to exchanges.

Coins stay on app just the keys addresses are on the mini. Without the mini to verify the your password and qr code to send coins . They won’t move.

When you linked the mini to the app by scanning the qr codes that’s how they got added. The mini only generates the qr code when your ready to send. So your coins and balances all stay on app.

your coins will always stay on the app (in reality they are on the blockchain), the Mini, as other people said, is only for when you want to send your coins out of your address to somewhere else (you’ll have to scan the QR codes with your Mini to validate that you are sending them to someone else).

The ELLIPAL Cold Wallet and APP works as one, you do not need to send coins from APP to the Cold Wallet to secure your coins. If you set up and sync the APP properly to the cold wallet, they should be showing the same address and any coins you send to that address are secured by the Cold Wallet.
